BKS Iyengar, at the age of 90, currently lives in Pune, India where he still maintains his daily study and practice of yoga at his world famous yoga center.

In the April 26 '04 issue of Time Magazine, BKS Iyengar was included as one of 100 of the world's most influential people. He has written numerous books on Yoga and has trained thousands of students. Many have devoted their lives to teaching his method on every continent in the world.

He is best known for his study, discovery and perfection of the use of props, which enable the yoga practitioner to more effectively move toward aligning the body. His method is safe and widely respected for its therapuetic value.
